Pros

FAQ
How much money do I need to show?
From €2,400 per month, that is €28,800 for a year ahead for a single applicant, plus €600 per month for each family member. Consulates review 12 months of statements and refuse if the amount arrived as a one-off transfer before applying.
Is it true that I cannot work remotely?
Yes. This permit explicitly excludes any work, including for foreign clients. If you keep working, you need the digital nomad visa, not this one.
Does rental income from a property abroad qualify?
Yes, if it is documented with contracts and statements and arrives regularly. The main difficulty is not the source but legalising foreign documents and having them translated by a sworn translator.
